Nylon Fixings
Nylon is the traditional material for sleeved window fixings. For plastic frames window anchors are recommended and use a sleeve and cone system to minimize the risk of frame distortion on tightening. Frame fixings are ideal for timber framed windows and consists of a large plug and screw. Hammer fixings are not recommended for installing window frames but are ideally suited to many applications where a traditional red or brown plug and woodscrew would have been used, the advantage being the hammer fixing is much quicker tio use as it is pre-assembled.
